While the team on the field has been under-performing the last several weeks, the coaches have hit the recruiting trail hard netting another commit today in addition to Polk and Walker last week. This time, they went to the sunshine state to pick up John Tate, recruited as an athlete. According to his Scout profile, he's 5-foot-11 189-pounds and runs a 4.59.

Again, not great numbers, but appears to be solid. Tate plays running back for his high school team, Edison High School in Fresno (CA).

Nevada and SJSU were the other schools pursuing Tate, but he appears to be enamored with the UW.
