Football Recruiting
The only major news to report comes from Bob Condotta who wrote on his blog yesterday that he thought Johnny Sears was a longshot to transfer to the UW, so it would appear that the RealDawg report of him coming here was most likely premature.
Some positive news to report. Several top in-state prospects are rating the Dawgs high on their list including 4-star DE Everette Thompson, 4-star OG Alameda Ta'amu and 3-star WR Cody Bruns. No news on the two Lakes standouts in 4-star TE Kavario Middleton or 3-star WR Jermaine Kearse, though both have scheduled officials to the UW on Dec 7.
Out of state updates, 3-star CB Brandon Leslie of Fresno (CA) has decided on Georgia Tech. The UW was thought to be a longshot so no big loss there. We are still waiting on 3-star QB Kevin Prince of Encino (CA) to decide between UCLA and the UW.
Basketball Recruiting
With 2008 pretty much done, the focus shifts to 2009 and beyond. Though UW commit and 4-star SF Tyreese Breshers was reported by Rivals to have been in Seattle for his official this past weekend.
4-star PG Peyton Siva and 4-star SG Avery Bradley continue to be the prime targets for in-state 2009 players and there are no updates on either. Peyton's favorites are thought to be the UW and Arizona. Bradley lists the UW as his favorite so far.
