Fire Willingham. We Have Been Absolutely Shamed. By andrewjh Section: FootballPosted on Sun Nov 25, 2007 at 12:15:17 AM EDT
This is the picture I wanted to post right now after a win against the Cougars tonight:

It was going to be a triumphant post. The kind that would have made you proud to be a Husky even if it were to be a losing season. But instead, that just doesn't work now. So instead we'll go with this:
This was the last string for me with Willingham. And sure, I do realize that it isn't all his fault. The players on the field have to execute. But how they are prepared and how the game is called has a lot to do with the result you see on the field. Especially in football. I have to admit that I don't have the ability to objectively state the case against him right now, but I can guarantee you can expect to see that post in the coming week. We have been shamed in our own house by a team we should have beat. Brink absolutely picked apart our secondary. All I see time and time again is a lack of adjustment in the game plan. Yes, we may not have the most talented team on the field in every game, but tonight I think we did (or at the very least it was even). And we continue to see the same problems on our team get exploited by the opponent. That indicates a coaching problem.
Goodbye Willingham. You've had three years now. Things have not gotten any better around here. And not they're not looking up so long as you're the guy calling the shots. Get your bags packed because you're getting fired. Oh, and get Jim Mora Jr. on the phone too.
