After escaping Portland the other night, the Huskies (5-4) take on Portland State (7-4). The Vikings took WSU to the wire a little over a week ago, so expect them to be ready again. Meanwhile, it is clear that the Huskies have not hit their stride yet. They continue to be awful at the line (going just 15-27 the other night vs. Portland). They'll have to pick up another win here tonight and hopefully it won't be close. But, as we all know right now, the Huskies are not at their best and searching for a way to put things together. So, anything can happen I suppose.

Game summary will be up after the game.

LET'S GO HUSKIES

Game Summary:
Final Score: 84-65
For a game that was tied with 38 seconds to go in the 1st half, the Huskies come out all right in this one tonight. Portland State hung around, but in the final 8 minutes of the game only scored 4 points.

  • Solid showing for Jon Brockman tonight with 24 points and 12 rebounds.
  • Ryan Appleby might be finding his stroke as he provided 7 for 11 shooting from 3 point range coming off the bench. I don't think Appleby has starting talent, but he can be a useful shooting threat off the bench and tonight that worked well.
  • The key stat in this one was the rebounding. The Huskies out-rebounded the Vikings 31-13 and had 11 offensive rebounds.
