Willingham's contract

Willingham was not fired. I don't get it, why is his contract 1.4 mil annually but a 3 mil buyout after 3 years?  Would you rather get 3 million now for nothing, or 2.8 over the next two years for work?  Why is his contract have incentives for him to fail?  Am I reading this wrong?
Personally, I think he's an ok coach, he makes horrible halftime adjustments, but he's an ok recruiter, and I'd give him the two years, unless JM jr. is available, then of course I'd offer him the job, because former pro head coaches tend to do well in college.

I'm not sure any of us get it.

Willingham hasn't been up to par at all.  He just hasn't delivered.

I'll be going over more of the specifics soon.  But, as you all can imagine, I am absolutely pissed that the university was so quick to give Willingham a "vote of confidence".  I'm not going to just let this go though, I don't think he deserves to still be around and I'm going to lay out the case why.

If we all, as alumni or current students (or even just fans for that matter) can make our voice heard then it will at least racket up the pressure on Willingham and let it be known that this sort of mediocrity won't be tolerated.
