Realdawg.com is reporting on their front-page that Michigan corner Johnny Sears has in fact transfered to the UW. Bob Condotta first broke the rumor about Sears on his blog. Here is his bio on Scout.com and some background on his release from Michigan.

Sears started at corner for the Wolverines in the season opener against App State.

Though it doesn't appear that he will make it in to play this year (given that classes have started), but will be available for the next couple of seasons.

With our apparent lack of depth and experience at the corner position, it should be a welcome addition. Though the mystery around how he left Michigan should be of some concern.
